A Dinner for One

This project is a dinner setting for one person featuring a table and chair. Starting from a big table and four identical chairs, I deconstructed these objects into their constituent components, and worked on the individual constituents to reconstruct the new pieces. Raised in war-torn Lebanon, this process of deconstructing and reconstructing is a way of exploring the relationship between objects and the layering of stories in them. The pieces reflect the human need to retrace the past and preserve memories.
